NASYAM
Service Description
In Ayurvedic wisdom, the nose is considered the "doorway to the brain." Nasya is a therapeutic treatment that involves the precise administration of herbal juices, medicated oils, or powders through the nasal passages to eliminate toxins and balance the Prana (life force) within the head and neck region. The Procedure The Nasya ritual is a meticulous process designed to ensure maximum absorption and comfort. Preparation (Purvakarma): The treatment begins with a gentle massage of the face, neck, and chest using specific herbal oils, followed by a light steam application. This opens the channels and loosens deep-seated toxins. Administration (Pradhana Karma): While you are in a comfortable reclined position, a specific number of drops of lukewarm medicated oil or herbal juice are gently instilled into each nostril. The Flow: You will be asked to inhale deeply, allowing the medicine to travel upward toward the base of the brain and the sinuses. Aftercare: The therapist will massage the soles of your feet and palms, and you may be asked to gargle with warm water to clear any residual mucus or medicine from the throat. Therapeutic Clinical Benefits Nasya is highly effective for conditions affecting the area above the shoulders, where regular internal medicine may take longer to reach. Neurological & Mental Health: It is a potent treatment for mental disorders, anxiety, and depression. It enhances memory, focus, and emotional stability by stimulating the vital centers of the brain. Chronic Headache Relief: Highly successful in treating migraines, sinus headaches, and tension-type headaches by clearing congestion and balancing cranial pressure. Motor Function Support: Nasya is traditionally used in the management of paralysis (including facial palsy) to stimulate nerve endings and restore motor control. Skin & Sensory Health: By purifying the blood and lymphatic drainage in the face, it helps resolve certain skin diseases like hyperpigmentation and acne, while also sharpening the senses of sight, smell, and hearing.
